Join Us This Year

Our university offices opened as of June, as part of the third phase of Switzerland's  de-confinement.  The country has managed the crisis well as the media has reported, and our campus will continue to follow the guidelines local authorities.

With an average class size of 14, we have an advantage over larger universities who are only able to host online classes.  We have made arrangements over the summer to host on-campus classes in the Fall (face-to-face), with social distancing practices across the campus, while also providing remote access for those who need to begin the semester online.

Since some students may not be able to arrive in time for Orientation or the first week(s) of classes, we plan to continue simultaneous broadcast and/or recording of class sessions in a hybrid teaching approach, so students who need to attend classes remotely can do so until they are able to join us in person on campus.

See additional information below about our flexibility and options available to new students, including multiple start dates!

Here is a recent letter to the campus community from our Director and covid-19 task force, about our campus preparations (see also the previous open letter from our Director General)

Please see our contact details at the bottom of this page and reach us.  Meanwhile, during this time when we are not able to offer our usual on-campus tours, you can still see our campus in the video below:

Fall 2020 admission:  We hope that the immediate risks of the COVID-19 crisis will be behind you before it's time for newly admitted (and our returning) students to make travel arrangements. Yet all students who are admitted to Webster University Geneva would still have the option to begin course studies online, if necessary or preferable--and then to join us on campus once the health crisis has settled and adequate assurances are given from the authorities.

Students can apply at any time, and our admissions team usually issues an admissions decision within 2 weeks of receiving all required documents. We work on a Rolling Admissions basis, and we make decisions on admission weekly.  While we have no official deadlines for submitting applications, those from outside of Europe who require a student visa should plan for earning admission 2-3 months before their preferred start date.  Those who apply early are also more likely to earn partial scholarship or financial aid support.

Our multiple start dates allow students to choose the start date for when they wish to begin studies. Our 2020-21 intakes include three dates when new courses are starting:  August 24th, 2020, October 19th, 2020 and January 11, 2021.  Students can also begin with online courses, whenever necessary due to covid-19 (or, they can defer their start date to the next available term) for student visa processing or temporary travel restrictions.

Webster's Flexibility is part of our admissions approach; we can often make admissions decisions based on the unofficial copies of your academic records, until your official records become available.  We fully support students after admission, through the Swiss student visa process.  If at any time that takes longer or gets delayed, students can begin courses online or defer their start date by 8 weeks until the next intake.

Finally, for non-native English applicants:  we are now able to accept score reports from several options for English proficiency exams that are available online/from home.

Be sure to check out our Admissions pages for full details and additional support.  We remain available to answer your questions, and to support your aspirations of a university degree!
